Fall into Spring

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

An abnormal day two weeks ago with a high of 60 meant I could wear what I love most, layers upon layers. Okay, so I went a little way overboard... with a tank, tee, wrap, scarf, and jacket. All on the top half :) This may be my last chance to wear fall clothing, so you bet I made the most of it!

Are you missing your cold-weather gear yet?

  3. You always do such a great job with layering! Great outfit dear!
    I'm just ready for some normal weather. On Friday we had 80 degrees, yesterday morning it was 36. So I haven't put my winter clothes away just yet :)

  5. Isn't it sad Cee?!! Our high today didn't even reach 60.....we've been freezing for about a week now :( Enough complaining though....I really like the color tones of your outfit!

  6. I hate winter dressing so I'm just glad I never have to think about weather fluctuating hot and cold. It's just hot here all the time!

    Great job with the layers! It doesn't look overdone at all!

  7. I'm not missing winter clothes at all, because I'm still wearing them. It's been rainy and dreary and cold recently and I can't wait till it's over. :)
    I love your layering, and I have learned to layer as well after I started blogging.

  12. I don't feel like I've had a chance to miss my fall clothes, yet, because the weather just won't get warm enough (or it won't stay warm enough, I guess) to say goodbye to them for the year, yet. And I am not happy about that, at all!!

  13. We're also having a cold weather period here (high of 50 even though it was 91 last week) and I am REVELING in it LOL.

    You know I love it when you wear those black skinnies (esp. with heels!) and that scarf is just perfect with it! Did you by chance peruse the RM sale at Hautelook? I debated a clutch but am thankful everything sells out so quickly!

  15. Its rainy this whole week so I might need to pull out the rainboots! I wore a long sleeve shirt today with a trench so yeah, not typical for May. You look motocycle chic here!

  16. another great outfit! I'm not missing the cold weather b/c we haven't had much sun! I just read on twitter that in Toronto we've only had about 9 hours of sunshine since last week :(

  17. oh god, are you kidding me? we've had a winter storm upon us since saturday and its been horrible so i'm snuggled down in an alpaca scarf and my wool coat.

  19. giraffe print is my favorite type of animal print. I feel it's the underdog amongst all these feline prints.

  20. @PetiteLittleGirl -Tell me about it. I'm all set to wear "nicer" outfits this week, but the 70-90% chance of rain all week has me wearing my crappy clothes instead. And of course, the sun is shining when I get off work, so I could have worn my nicer clothes. Argh!

    @Kelly - Thanks :)

    @Lilly's Style, @Callandra, @Vicky - o.O I feel for you, I really do. I hope the weather warms up soon for you!

    @purses and puppies, @Lisa - I will glady trade :)

    @b_ra - Haha, quite true. How do you adjust going back from the Caribbean and back home all the time?!

    @Kimchi Girl - You like? I'm happy to report that heels are getting easier and easier for me to walk in. Score!

    @Lisa - respect the shoes - Me too. Zara is fast becoming one of my favorite stores. The only gripe is that they need to open one closer to me.

    @gold N turquoise - YAY! Can not wait to see your reveal, thoughts, etc on the MAB. The quilted version sounds so luxurious!

    @Sunshine - Ahh, sorry! The scarf was a gift and there are no tags, hence the unknown. It was bought in Asia though, I believe.

    @Tara - Just wait until the weather gets hot. They don't call it Hotlanta for nothing :)

    @SewPetiteGal - Haha I can only imagine how uncomfortable being pregnant in 90+ degree weather can be. Geez, I feel a hot flash coming on just thinking about it lol.

    I did click around RM's sale, but nothing really captured my interest, so my wallet is happy I passed. Which clutch were you eyeing? The blogging community can help keep our eyes out for you :)

    @Shasie - I really should pack away seasonal items, so I don't pine away at them whenever I open the closet door ;)

    @Jarucha - It's funny because weather.com has been calling for rain on and off for my area all week, but every time I'm ready to run through the puddles in my rainboots it's sunny out. Sigh, instead I look like a freak haha.

    @Elaine A (TOBeautyReviews) - Ahhh... I'm so sorry to hear :( I hope there is a hot and humid summer to come in TO!

    @makeupandpearls - Sorry :D I tend to whine about the littlest things. But a winter storm?! o.O I feel for you, I really do. I hope the weather warms up soon though.

    @AubreyOhDang! - Huh, you'd think I'd pay more attention to the items I own... but thanks for pointing out that it's giraffe print. I hope I've been going around saying "animal print" instead of "leopard print."

  22. I love this look, maybe it's the scarf or the bag, but you look great! I wish the weather would make up its mind...but I guess it gives more opportunity to wear the warmer clothes. =)
